Mhúsaem Cathrach na Gaillimhe
Thug páistí ó dhá Rang a 4 na scoile mar aon lena gcuid múinteoirí Rónán agus Tomás cuairt ar Mhúsaem Cathrach na Gaillimhe le déanaí. Thóg muid an traen isteach chuig Stáisiún Cheannt sa chathair. Bhain na páistí an-sult as an turas. Bhí neart ceisteanna acu faoi gach a bhí le feiceáil acu ar na húrláir éagsúla sa mhúsaem. Ina dhiaidh sin, chaith muid tamall ag déanamh imscrúdú ar an bPóirse Spáinneach, An Phóirse Caoch, An Ball Fada agus Abhantrach an Chladaigh. Ar ár mbealach ar ais chuig an stáisiún traenach, sheas muid ar an bhFhaiche Mhór chun Bratacha Threibheanna na Gaillimhe agus Scairdeán Uisce Húicéirí na Gaillimhe a fheiceáil. Bhí lá iontach againn amach as amach.
Recently the two fourth classes (Múinteoir Rónán & Múinteoir Tomás) visited Galway City Museum. We arrived into Ceannt Station via train from the school. The children really enjoyed the train ride. We spent a large portion of the day exploring the various floors of the museum. The children really enjoyed the interactive section on the top floor. After the museum, we took a walk down the Long Walk and back again to the Spanish arch and the Blind Arch and over to the Claddagh Basin. Then we decided to walk up by the banks of the Corrib. There was an abundance of wildlife about. We were delighted to see a mother duck and several of her ducklings on the canal, as well as gorgeous swan taking a break in her nest just before we crossed the Salmon Weir bridge. We decided to have lunch in The Millennium Children’s Playground behind the Galway Cathedral. On our return route to the train station we stopped at Eyre Square park. We took a few photos beside Browne’s Doorway and the Galway Hooker Fountain. Then we quizzed the children about the 14 tribes of Galway and their various family flags. We had a brilliant day overall.

We had a very enjoyable day visiting Monivea Woods along with Rang 4 Rónán. We got the chance to see and identify the different types of trees and leaves we had learnt about in school.
Tá ranganna códáil ar siúl againn sa rang le Martha. Tá na gasúir ag baint taitneamh as agus iad ag foghlaim go leor. We have starting our coding classes with Martha which the children are enjoying and learning from.
